Summer is a great time to change up the flowering landscapes on your commercial property. More people are walking by, and new flowers make your business seem perky. It will create interest and may be even attract customers. There are a wide range flowers to install this time of year that are sure to please people.
Here are a few to get you started.
Rubdeckia: These are the Black-Eyed Susans and Henry Eilers. They look much like daisies, with bright yellow or yellow-orange petals and black centers. They are hardy, lasting mid-summer to November, and the can thrive in full sun and partial shade. These are sure to perk up your borders.
Phlox: These flowers are not only brilliantly colored but versatile too. They come in tall and creeping sizes, with some of the creeping ones getting no taller than 15 inches. They come in white, blue, pink, and red. They bloom in the Spring and the Summer, and they make some beautiful ground cover for any space. This is especially true if you want to attract birds or butterflies to your grounds.
Heliopsis ‘Tuscan Sun’: These are sometimes called False Sunflowers. They bloom June through August, and these blooms are amazing. The compact florets come in golden yellow and the bushes get about 9 inches tall. These are great for tight spaces on your property that need a dash of color.
Lavendar: This is a hardy standard with a famously attractive smell and love of the sun. The light purple petals provide a nice contrast to their gray-green leaves, and they grow about 30 inches tall, bobbing their purple heads in the breeze and beckoning to both butterflies and customers. They make great borders, decorate rock gardens and spruce up any open space. They don’t like much water, which makes them a good choice for areas that you have trouble watering.
